Fellowship Opportunities
Presbyterian Women
Here are the highlights on what Presbyterian Women DO:1. Of course we have meetings! Three circles meet monthly for study and fellowship. Bible Study this year is Above and Beyond Hearing God’s Call in Jonah and Ruth from Horizons Magazine.
2. There are Gatherings in May and December of all circles.
3. We support the Mission projects of Churchwide Presbyterian Women and the Presbyterian Church (USA) with our pledges and contributions - this includes two special offerings - the Birthday Offering and the Thank Offering.
4. In the past two years we have collected funds for Malaria Mosquito netting, Nurses uniforms in Haiti, and camp stoves in Darfur. Also disposable diapers for Church of Peace project and contributed to Second Baptist Food pantry.
5. We have trimmed many Campbell’s Soup labels for Kemmerer Village for their educational funds.
6. We make lap robes for nursing homes.
7. We make layettes for Church Women United and baby blankets for overseas missions.
8. We knitted hats for newborn babies at Trinity Birthplace.
9. We distributed the hats, mittens, and scarves from the Advent mitten tree.
10. We purchased yarn for the Prayer Shawl ministry.
11. We provided many willing hands to serve in the kitchen when needed.
We hope this has given you insight into what we do DO and when someone asks just what do Presbyterian Women DO you can tell them!
